Jeff Tait is a Miami-based entrepreneur, operator, and investor. He is the Founder & CEO of Tait Capital, an operator-led portfolio of companies spanning marketing, ecommerce, logistics, health, and consumer brands.
His path didn't start in a boardroom. It started by selling, shipping, hiring, and figuring out — one company at a time — what it actually takes to build something that lasts. The lessons compounded. So did the businesses.
Today Jeff leads a team of 50+ across the US and internationally. He is hands-on with the companies in the portfolio — sometimes as founder, sometimes as partner, sometimes as the operator who steps in when a business needs one. He believes the best returns come from doing the work, not watching it.
He is currently focused on building the next generation of operator-led consumer and B2B businesses out of Miami.
Started as a small ecommerce-focused marketing agency built around direct response, customer acquisition, and brand growth. First client, first hire, first office — and the beginning of building an operator-led approach to scaling companies.
Expanded across paid media, creative, email marketing, and CRO, supporting consumer brands across the US and Europe.
Started partnering with founders and operators by providing growth infrastructure, capital, marketing, and operational support in exchange for ownership and long-term alignment.
Expanded beyond services by building a dedicated 3PL and fulfillment operation while beginning strategic investments into consumer brands and partnerships.
Formalized the consumer brand portfolio and investment structure into a dedicated holding company focused on long-term ownership, operations, and brand growth.
Expanded the 4004 portfolio with one acquired brand and one built from the ground up — both integrated directly into the marketing, ecommerce, and logistics flywheel.
Launched Age Defy and Reta while continuing to scale investments, partnerships, and operating companies under a centralized growth and operations structure. Also completed the Saucy investment as part of the expanding consumer brand portfolio.
The best decisions get made inside the business — looking at the P&L, the customer calls, the warehouse floor. We pick up the phone. We sit in the meetings. Capital alone has never built a great company.
We back operators who know their craft and their customer. Then we plug in the marketing, ops, and capital infrastructure they need. No one builds great alone.
We're allergic to short-term thinking. The companies in our portfolio are built to compound — through cycles, customer generations, and management changes. Time horizon is our edge.
Marketing serves logistics serves brands serves marketing. Every company in the portfolio is, in some way, a customer or supplier of another. The whole is heavier than the sum.
Equity, autonomy, and outcomes — in that order. The operators we partner with run their businesses like founders, because they are.
No glass towers. No abstractions. The detail is where the leverage is — and where the truth lives.
Day-to-day with the operating companies — TFC, Ship N Pack, 4004, Safi. Sales reviews, P&L reviews, hiring, and the operating cadence that keeps the portfolio compounding.
Sourcing the next 1–2 operating companies. Meeting operators. Diligencing partnerships. Most don't move forward — the ones that do, we go all-in.
Selectively advising founders and operators in adjacent industries. Speaking, writing, and showing up for the Miami operator community.
Jeff lives in Miami with his family. The city is the backdrop for most of the work, and most of the life that fuels it — early mornings on the water, family dinners, and a steady community of operators who keep each other sharp.
He's an open-water swimmer, a slow-and-bad guitarist, and a notebook-carrying believer in the value of writing things down. Most weekends include some combination of soccer with his kids, espresso, and one stubbornly unfinished home project.
If you ever want to find him: try a coffee shop in Wynwood before 8am.
